Good observation demands focus and concentration as well as careful technique.
When we focus on a single small object, we are able to observe tone, colour and surfaces etc without the distractions we may have when looking at large complicated arrangements or a panoramic landscape!
How do we paint the illusion of small reflections in a shiny object or the wrinkles in a leaf? How can we use very small brushes and make subtle changes to tone and colour?
This workshop is designed to encourage you to observe close detail in small objects. It will allow you to develop techniques using smaller brushes and careful paint control. Above all , the session is designed to improve your visual ‘concentration ‘.
You will learn how to break down a small object into its basic shapes Match tonal values Model and blend paint to create solid forms Observe and match colour Create the illusion of surface texture
Clonduff community centre is a new facility attached to the new ‘lisnasharagh centre’ on Montgomery Road. It is bright and airy with dedicated kitchen and toilet facilities. It is also close to shops and cafes.
